DEVIL ATE MY SON was founded in early 1999. The band consists of five friends who support each other in every way they can in order to create the violent, hard, fast and brutal metal-sound that this band is known for. Since their founding, these guys played a lot of shows and festivals, such as the Slam Festival, or a Newcomer Festival where they took the 2nd place. Their First release on DCP was a split Lp with From Bleeding Hands in the year 2000. After this release DAMS had the opportunity to play in different countries with a lot of well-known bands; CATHARSIS, DARKEST HOUR, UNDYING are just some to mention. A long periode of live performance was followed by an intensive time of song writing. At the end of 2002 Paperstreet Industries from Switzerland showed it’s interest in this ambitious band, and singed DEVIL ATE MY SON for the five song mcd “ Where ghosts roam”. This band is reputed to be an awesome live band; to prove this rumour they played a great release show in their home town Offenburg, Germany. On Easter 2003 Devil ate my son went on a successful European Tour with FEAR MY THOUGHTS, and performed in cities like Budapest, Graz, Groningen... In Summer 2003 DEVIL ATE MY SON joined their new label BURNING SEASON RECORDS. Momentarily, DAMS is working intensivly on 6 new songs for their new, heavy mcd that will be released on burning season records around march 2004. |
